আর কিছুদিন পর শুরু হতে যাচ্ছে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ভর্তি পরীক্ষা। এর মধ্যে আসছে বিসিএস ৩৫ তম প্রিলির পরীক্ষা। রয়েছে বিভিন্ন ব্যাংক জব পরীক্ষা। আর সকল প্রতিযোগিতামূলক পরীক্ষার গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অনুষঙ্গ হল ইংরেজি এবং সফলতার অন্যতম হাতিয়ার হল ইংরেজিতে ভালো করা। কিন্তু নিত্যনৈমত্তিক উপায়ে ইংরেজি অনুশীলন করার ফলে , পরীক্ষার হলে হাজার হাজার রুলসের মধ্যে সঠিক রুলটি আমরা মনে করতে পারিনা এবং দ্বিধাগ্রস্থ অবাস্থায় ভুল উত্তর দিয়ে থাকি। তাই মনে রাখার বিষয়টি বিশেষভাবে নিয়ে আজকের এই টিউন। আজকের আলোচ্য বিষয় pronoun এবং personal pronoun এর ব্যবহার। ধারাবাহিকভাবে মনোযোগ সহকারে পড়ুন।    যাদের টোফেল বই আছে তারা মিলিয়ে নিতে পারেন

Pronoun: Sentence এ noun এর পরিবর্তে pronoun ব্যবহৃত হয়। Noun হচ্ছে যা দ্বারা কোন কিছুর নাম বুঝায়। Pro শব্দের অর্থ পরিবর্তন যোগ্য। অর্থাৎ noun এর পরিবর্তে যে word বা শব্দ ব্যবহার হয় তাই pronoun.

Pronoun আটপ্রকার।তারবর্ণনানিচেদেওয়াহলঃ

I.          Personal           pronouns         : I, we, you, he, she, it, they…..

II.          Demonstrative      G        : This, that, such, there, those......

III.          Interrogative         G        : (5W) who, which, what, whose,whom....

IV.          Relative                G        : who, which,that, what, whose, whom........

V.          Indefinite              G        : One, some, any, none, both, many........

VI.          Distributive           G        : Each, either, every, neither.................

VII.          Reflexive               G        : Myself, himself, herself, yourself, ourselves.....

VIII.          Reciprocal            G        : Each other, one another.......

এই ৮ প্রকারের মধ্যে Personal pronoun এর পাঁচটি form রয়েছে এবং যার ব্যবহারেও রয়েছে ভিন্নতা। আজ আমি চেষ্টা করব সম্পূর্ণ ভিন্নভাবে পরিপূর্ণ personal pronoun আয়ত্ত করার অসাধারণ এক technique দিতে।  ধারাবাহিকভাবে নিচের বিষয়গুলো খেয়াল করুন ঃ

এবার দেখে নিন Personal pronoun গুলোর  singular এবং plural form.

এক ফলকে  সব personal pronoun এর ব্যবহার দেখুন। এর পরেই রয়েছে মনে রাখার টিপস এবং উদাহরণসহ বিস্তারিত বর্ণনাঃ

নিচে দেখুন  personal pronoun গুলোর ব্যবহার মনে রাখার শর্টকাট টিপস। নিচেরলাইনটিমুখস্তকরুনআরচমকেরসাথেsentence এpronoun এরব্যবহারমনেরাখুন।

মনে রাখার টিপসঃ 

Mop এর Opine possessive এর সাথে Genius bus (বাস) এ করে

Prio(প্রিয়) খেলা Ping pong দেখবে।

আসুন technique টির proper utilization দেখিঃ

·       Mop  (চুলেরজট) 

Main+objectivepronoun(অর্থাৎmain verb এরপরobjective pronoun হয়)

They asked us, Jane and me whether we were satisfied.

They called us on the telephone.

 ·       Op Ine (মতামত)

Objective pronoun è  infinitive(অর্থাৎ objective pronoun এর পর infinitive বা                infinitive এর আগে obj. pronoun হয়)

যেমনঃI like you to read. He wants me to go. She shared them how to play on harmonium.

·       Possessive  এর সাথে GeNiuS(প্রতিভাধর)

Possessive adjective + gerund/noun/superlative (অর্থাৎ possessive adjective এর পর gerund/noun/superlative form বসে বা এই সব form এর আগে possessive adjective বসে)

যেমনঃ

The doctor insisted on her taking a leave of absence. (po.adj+gerund)

She forgot her homework this morning.(po.adj+ noun)

My food is cold.( po.adj+ noun)

He and I did our best.( po.adj+superlative)

·       Bus এ করে

Be verb+ subjective pronoun(অর্থাৎbe verb (am, is, are…...)এরপরsubjective pronoun (I, she, he …...) বসে।)

যেমনঃ

It is he whom the committee has named.

It was she who called you.

মনেরাখতেহবেsentence এরsubject হিসাবেsubjective pronoun ব্যবহারহয়।যেমনঃ

FHe goes to market every day.

FThe committee has met and it has reached a decision.

·       PriO (প্রিয়)খেলা

Preposition+ objective pronoun(অর্থাৎpreposition(to, on, for…)এরপরobjective pronoun(me,him,her….) বসে। )

যেমনঃ He always looks after me.

Rice has been eaten by them.

Mary is going to class with her

·       PInG Pong(টেবিল টেনিস)দেখবে।

Participle/ infinitive/ gerund/ preposition+ objective pronoun(অর্থাৎparticiple (playing, broken…) infinitive (to go, to read…) gerund (reading,watching…) preposition (to,in,of…)পরobjective pronoun বসে। )

যেমনঃ

The driver left us standing at the side of the road. (Participle+ obj-pro.)

They tried to follow me. (Infinitive+ obj-pro.)

After dropping Sujana and her, I came here.(gerund+ obj-pro)

To us, it seems like a good bargain. (Preposition+  obj-pro.)

বিভিন্ন প্রতিযোগিতা মূলক পরীক্ষায় আসা কিছু গুরুত্বপূর্ণ উদাহরণঃ

It was I who first noticed the difference.

It was we who had left before he arrived.

Jahir’s the guy who’s giving was a ride.

One must follow one’s conscience.

The family does its best to make a living.

Sahmim and I are going to the cinema.

With the exception of Farzad and me, all the students finished their assignment by the stipulated time schedule.

Most labor unions provide insurance benefits for their members.

The committee has met and it has reached a decision.

If you insist on my coming, you must pay my fare.

Since Shamima Khatun’s father never approved of her marrying Kuddus, the couple ran off to ST.

Pronoun সম্পর্কিত আর কিছু বাড়তি তথ্য নিচে দেওয়া হল -

আমরা জানিperson তিন প্রকার। যথাঃFirst, second and third person.

Tip:Sentence এ তিনটি person একই সাথে ব্যবহৃত হলে তা একটি নিয়ম মেনে চলে। তা হল sentence এর ভাল অর্থে প্রথমে second person, third person এবং শেষে first person বসে। আর দোষ স্বীকার করার ক্ষেত্রে প্রথমে first person-second person এর পর third person বসে। যেমনঃ

You, he and Imust work together. (ভাল অর্থে)

I, you and Nabil shall be punished. (দোষ স্বীকার)

নিচের লাইনটির মাধ্যমে এই বিষয়টি আর সহজে  মনে রাখুনঃ

মনে রাখার টিপসঃ 

You, he and I are close friend.

I, you and he are responsible for the fault.

বিভিন্ন প্রতিযোগিতা মূলক পরীক্ষায় আসা কিছু গুরুত্বপূর্ণ উদাহরণঃ

I, you and Selim shall be punished.

The captain, Joy and I had a score of 30.
